Jesse Hanks

Originally from Buford, Georgia, Jesse Hanks (he/they) is a New York-based musical theatre performer with a passion for telling stories about the human experience through all mediums. A graduate of University of Oklahoma's Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre, Jesse earned his BFA in Musical Theatre performance and has since begun performing professionally — most recently sailing the world as a lead vocalist with Royal Caribbean International.​​

Jesse’s artistic journey began in the choir, where a lifelong love for music took root. Over the years, that love expanded to dance — especially tap — and later to a growing curiosity for direction and choreography after assistant-directing The Wild Party at OU and assistant-choreographing A Christmas Story with The Lexington Theatre Company.​

Jesse is the youngest of three siblings, and has two older sisters that are also involved in the arts professionally. Jesse is an aspiring cat parent, but lives vicariously as an uncle to his family's pets. Outside of performing, Jesse enjoys streaming on Twitch and connecting with others through video games, a really good book, and rewatching The Office for the *censored* time.
